De Port Charlotte Islay Barley 2011 is een krachtig geturfde single malt van de Bruichladdich-distilleerderij, gebotteld op 50% vol (70 cl).
Deze editie is volledig vervaardigd uit Islay-gerst (van o.a. Coull, Cruach en Sunderland Farms) en toont het unieke terroir van het eiland in al zijn diepte. Gedistilleerd in 2011 en gebotteld in 2018.
De rijping vond plaats in een complexe vatcombinatie: 75% first-fill American whiskey casks, 15% second- en third-fill Sauternes & Austrian sweet wine casks, en 10% first-fill Rivesaltes wine casks.
Deze botteling belichaamt het idee van terroir-gedreven Islay-whisky.
